Animal mistreatment: a bill under consideration in Ottawa is causing concern

Animal welfare groups are expressing apprehension regarding a bill currently under deliberation in the House of Commons. If passed, the bill would impose severe penalties for trespassing on farms, particularly in cases where such actions could potentially expose animals to diseases or hazardous substances.

“Animal protection organizations are concerned about a bill under consideration in the House of Commons which, if adopted, would severely penalize trespassing on farms that could expose animals to diseases or toxic substances.”
