Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Sheep to be updated

The National Farm Animal Care Council (NFACC) will update the Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Sheep, initiated by the Canadian Sheep Federation (CSF).
More than 1 million sheep are being raised for meat, wool and milk production in Canada, and they need your voice! Help shape the update of the Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Sheep.From now until July 25, take a few minutes to submit your top three concerns about sheep welfare. Issues could include inadequate shelter, painful procedures, weaning, and more. Please note that the Code only covers on-farm issues; issues related to transport or other areas are not considered. Answers must be polite, less than 14 words, and written in your own words.
