The Winnipeg Humane Society (WHS) is providing much-needed care to the 68 dogs seized by the city after a police raid in the Richmond West neighborhood. Workers, along with staff from Winnipeg Animal Services and groomers from Pet Smart stores, are pampering the dogs and giving them haircuts to address severe matting.
These dogs had endured harrowing conditions and were discovered during an unrelated police visit. Despite their traumatic experiences, they are resilient and grateful for the affection they now receive without their matted coats.
