Discover the Promising Practices Project:
Engaging Men and Boys as Allies in Preventing Gender-Based Violence

The Promising Practices Project is an impactful Humane Canada initiative that aims to involve men and boys as partners in preventing gender-based violence (GBV) by delivering innovative, community-driven, humane education.

Humane Canada has worked collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders—spanning women’s shelters, anti-violence agencies, social services, educational organizations, and animal welfare groups—to craft the Promising Practices Framework. This comprehensive approach ensures that humane education programming is both impactful and inclusive.

The Promising Practices Framework has been designed to guide educators as they either weave concepts of ending gender-based violence into their existing humane education program or utilize the framework to design a new program to respond to their community's needs.
