Associate Member Terms and Conditions

Non-voting Associates are not-for-profit and charitable organizations, associations, and governmental organizations that share the guiding principles of Humane Canada.

Eligibility to be an Associate of Humane Canada is based on agreement to the following criteria:

1.      Agrees to Humane Canada representing members and associates at the national level

2.      Is an association, governmental organization or a registered not-for-profit or charity incorporated either provincially or federally in Canada

3.      Is prepared to act in accordance with Humane Canada by-laws, including payment of dues

4.      Promotes and demonstrates a humane discourse philosophy

5.      Supports industry recognized standards and guidelines

6.      Objective in promoting progressive improvement of animal welfare

7.      A recognized/credible voice in its community

8.      Law-abiding; functions within the law

9.      Supports Humane Canada's willingness to work with any organization with the goal of improving animal welfare
