Canada’s last known captive whales have left Marineland, marking the end of more than 60 years of whale and dolphin captivity in Canada. The milestone follows decades of advocacy, including Humane Canada’s work alongside animal welfare organizations and supporters to help bring an end to cetacean captivity.
