Five years ago, Humane Society International rescued over 200 exotic animals from deplorable conditions at St. Edouard Zoo in Canada.
The animals were relocated to sanctuaries across North America, including the Black Beauty Ranch in Texas. Now, animals like tigers Serenity and Theodora, lioness Douala, zebra Zuko, wildebeest Wolfgang, and kangaroos Ross, Rachel, and Joey are thriving in spacious, caring environments. At Black Beauty Ranch, these animals receive exceptional care, can exhibit natural behaviors, and live free from cruelty.
