A 34-year-old resident of Jaspers, Ont., faces a number of charges of animal cruelty and drug trafficking following an investigation that began in January this year.

Police said in a release that an investigation was launched following veterinarian clinic’s report to the province’s Animal Welfare Services. The investigation revealed other veterinary clinics concerned with the well-being of other animals.
