PetSmart Charities donation supports veterinary care for northern Saskatchewan

PetSmart Charities of Canada has generously donated $860,000 to the University of Saskatchewan’s Northern Engagement and Community Outreach (NECO) program. This program provides essential veterinary care to communities in northern Saskatchewan, addressing the lack of vet clinics in the region.

Dr. Jordan Woodsworth, the program’s Director, aims to collect data on animal care access, investigate barriers within provincial policies, and enhance education for future veterinary professionals. The donation will significantly impact the program’s efforts to improve animal health and welfare.
