The Hanover Ag Society asked the Winnipeg Humane Society to pack up their display and leave on Saturday.

In an effort to answer any questions festival-goers may have, the Hanover Ag Society released a statement on Facebook noting, "In good faith, the Hanover Ag Fair accepted the Winnipeg Humane Society's request for a vendor space at our event under the assumption they would be promoting their pet adoption programs however that is not the display that has been presented therefore they have been asked to leave."
