Every year, thousands of live draft horses are exported from Canada to Japan, where they are slaughtered for human consumption.

Since 2013, more than 40,000 of these sensitive animals have been forced to endure travel for upwards of 28 hours while being deprived of food, water, and rest.

Despite the Prime Minister issuing a mandate calling on the federal Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food to ban this practice in December 2021, more than 2,000 horses have been flown to their death since September 2021.

Speak out for these sentient animals! Call for a ban on live horse exports by sending this letter to your MP and Federal decision-makers today.
